Retha M. Cogle, 79, of Charles Town, WV passed away May 27, 2026 at INOVA Fairfax, surrounded by her family.

Born December 17, 1946 in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite Rodgers Jackson and Thomas F. Jackson.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by her children, Dessie Glascock (late husband Douglas Glascock), three sons, OJ Jackson and wife, (Kim), Stacey Cogle, Johnathan Cogle and wife, (Maggie), Virginia Cogle, Lewis Chapman, Jr., three grandchildren, Doug Hartley, Jr.,fiance’(Heather), Daniel Glascock and Cherta Cogle, two great granddaughters, Jaidyn Hartley and Gia Glascock, one brother, Willard Jackson, Sr. and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Justin Cogle, ex-husband, Garland Cogle and ex-partner, Lewis Chapman, Sr. and many of her brothers and sisters.

She leaves her legacy of love for so many family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
