It is with great sadness that we must share with you that Rhoda Mae Celestine passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. She went peacefully and surrounded by her family.

She was born Rhoda Mae Madorma on April 2, 1939 to the late Frank Madorma and Irene Toth Madorma.

She was an awesome mom to two; a son Thomas Celestine, Jr and wife Renee of Prince Frederick, Maryland and a daughter Lisa Shirkey and husband Dan of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, a grandma of four (also know as Mammy) to Danny Shirkey and wife Jennifer of Charles Town, West Virginia, Taylor Small and husband Justin of Sumerduck, Virginia, Tray Celestine who is serving in the Airforce overseas in Germany, and Tony Celestine of Lusby, Maryland, and a great-grandmother to Ryan and Zoey Small. She also leaves behind a brother Dennis Madorma and wife Valerie of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania. She was an aunt of two to Jenny McCallion and husband, Joe of Thurmont, Maryland and Dennis Madorma and wife Stephanie of Cortland, Ohio and she also was survived three great nephews JD, Tyler McCallion and Xavier Madorma, and a great niece Aleda Madorma.

Always giving to others, she would always crochet hats, scarves and blankets and give them away to people in need. She was active in her church and was a faithful woman.

Per her wishes, there will be a celebration of life honoring her in the spring, May 20, 2023 at her home.
