Richard Allen    Fadeley, Sr., 73 of Shepherdstown, West Virginia passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.

He was born April 4, 1949 in Ranson, West Virginia and was the son of the late James S. Fadeley, Sr. and Mary Rutherford Fadeley.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Judith S. Fadeley; one son, Richard A. Fadeley, Jr.; two sisters, Sherry Cain (Robbie) and Nadine "Peachie" Tabb (David); one brother, Robert Fadeley (Christine); four grandchildren, Sabrea Funk, D.J. Pruitt, Jenna Mullenax and Kenny Fadeley; three great-grandchildren, Wyett Funk, Ayla Funk and Raelyn Mullenax, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James S. Fadeley, Jr. and John "Bussy" Fadeley and a daughter, Tammy Fadeley Powell.

Richard was an avid hunter and enjoyed working on lawn mowers. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was a retired carpenter.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 1-3 pm at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown with the Rev. Karen Valentine officiating.
