Richard Carl Kidwell, 78, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away on April 29, 2026, at home.

Born on August 1, 1947, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Wesley Earl Kidwell and Cecilia Pearl Kidwell. He was of the Catholic faith.

Richard was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, Sgt. E5.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathleen, at home; two sisters; one brother; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Earl.
