Richard Allan Raines, 57, of Kearneysville, WV passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born April 1, 1966 in the Bahamas, he was the son of Richard Allen Raines and Jo Ann Ward Raines.

He was of the Christian faith.

Richard was employed by the Berkeley County Schools. He was an avid car enthusiast, loved NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys. He was loved by many.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Debbie Hoffman Raines, at home, one step-daughter, Kristy Adams, one step-son, Ricky Hoffman, Jr., four step-grandchildren, Wayne, Cheyenne, Nathan and Colton, one sister, Stephanie Firestone,  and one  brother, David Raines.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating.  Interment will follow in Brownsville Heights Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 6-8 pm.
