Richard Lee Ring Sr.,67, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Born on September 17, 1954 in Ranson West Virginia, he was the son of Calvin Ring and the late Betty Pearl (Ring).

He was a member of Chestnut Hill Untied Methodist Church.

Richard leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Jo Ann; one daughter Stephanie LaPierre of Harpers Ferry; sons, Richard Ring Jr. of Harpers Ferry; Jeffrey Womer of Ranson; four grand children, Logan, Jake, Bentley and Maverick; father and stepmother, Calvin and Reba Ring of Harpers Ferry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Pearl Ring; maternal grandmother, Eva Pearl; paternal grandparents, Elsworth and Hattie Ring; two brothers, Gary and Terry Ring.

Richard was a heavy equipment operator for RL Ring Excavating. He loved deep sea fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. Richard also had great affection for his grandsons, of whom he was very proud.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00am at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Pastor Shane Wilt officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8pm.
