Robert Lee James "Bobby", 88, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away at home on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Born October 4, 1936, he was the son of the late Robert Grayson James and Bertha Lee James.

Bobby attended Millville Elementary, Harpers Ferry High School (Alumni-Class of 1956). He also played in the band and on the football team at Harpers Ferry High School.

Bobby  went on to work for Scotty Shoemaker Construction Crew, and enlisted in the U.S. Army, East Alcoa (19 years-retired). He became a Boy Scout Leader for troop #68 in Harpers Ferry and coached Little League Baseball. He also enjoyed carpentry/woodworking, coin collecting, puzzles, hunting, fishing and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Howard G. James.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Gail P. James; his children, Robert James (RJ) and wife, Karen, Patrick G. James, Daniel James and wife, Amy James; his many grandchildren, Brittany K. James, Maggie James, Patrick James, Daniel James, Kassidy James, Robert James, Michael James, Jessica James; and his great-grandchildren, Caylee Carter, Maylee James, and Brielle James.
