Robert William Kaetzel, 63, of Ranson, WV passed away June 18, 2026 at his residence.

Born September 13, 1962 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Robert Lee Kaetzel and Virginia Louise Witmer Kaetzel.

He was of the Christian faith.

Robert was a graduate of Boonsboro High School. He retired from a lifelong career in construction and Jefferson County Schools.

He loved going fishing and boating and enjoyed his faithful feline friends, “MooMoo” and “Sunny”.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rebecca, at home, one daughter, Hannah Kaetzel, step-daughter, Heidi Rinaldi, step-son, Mark Hanshaw, Jr., four grandchildren, Isabella, Noah, Chase, Ian, sister, Carrie Jennings and husband, Terry and numerous nieces, great nieces and cousins.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Charles Town Presbyterian Church with Reverend John Bethard officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
