Robert Daniel  Leonard, Jr.  75, of Charles Town passed away at Washington Hospital Center on October 9th 2023.

Born, August 9, 1948   in Omaha, Nebraska, he was the son of Robert Leonard Sr. and Margaret Leonard.

Robert Joined the Army in 1966 and fought in Vietnam and continued on in the Army until 1977.

In 1979, he began to work for the Central Intelligence Agency where he met his wife of 40 years, Karen Sue Gifft Leonard who passed away in 2021.  While assigned to Amman, Jordan, they married and had two children,   Sean Leonard and Heather (Leonard) Barney.  After a long career with military service and government service, Bob 'retired out' in 1999.

He is survived by Heather of Martinsburg with his 2 grandchildren, Freddy and Jaxson, Sean of Ranson and his 3 sisters residing in Nebraska, Mary, Cynthia and Cathy.

There will be a gravesite ceremony October 27th  at 11:00 am  at Pleasant View Gardens in Baker Heights.
