Ruth I Manuel, 97, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Shenandoah Center in Charles Town, WV.

Born August 20, 1927 in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Staubs and Georgia Wilt Staubs.

She was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.

Ruth loved the outdoors, and helped Calvin build their house from the ground up. She loved being involved in her church and teaching Vacation Bible School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Manuel and wife, Carol of Harpers Ferry, WV, five grandchildren, Sarah Bonacorda, Michael Manuel, Martha Manuel, Laura Manuel Walls and Mary Lynn Manuel, five great grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, Madelyn, Lettie and Mia and daughter-in-law, Anne Manuel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Calvin in 2018, one son, Dale Manuel, one sister, Reba Ring and one brother, Richard Staubs.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 6-8 pm.
