Sally Jo Wright, 73, of Notasulga, Alabama, formerly of West Virginia, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at the University of Alabama Medical Center.

She was born December 16, 1948 in Loudoun County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Edgar Lum Wright and Awildia Eleanor Groves Wright.

She was of Baptist faith.

Sally is survived by two daughters, Estelle Cornell and husband, Frank of Notasulga, AL and Dawn Valus and husband, Brian of Martinsburg, WV: five sons, Tony Cornell and wife Donna of Martinsburg, Guy William Cornell of Charles Town; Brian Long and wife Autumn Wilson of Fairmont, WV; Justin A. Cornell and Aaron M. Gerring.  She also raised her grandson, Tristan O. Long.  She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one sister, Awildia L.Wright; one brother, Daniel Milton Wright as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Leeann Gerring; sister, Eleanor Lucille Wright and  three brothers, David Edger Wright, Samuel Gibson Wright and Carl Kenneth Wright.

Services will be Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Earl Travis officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Bolivar, WV.

Family will receive friends Monday, May 23, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
