Samuel Martin Oden, III, 35, of Kearneysville, WV passed away September 28, 2024 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born April 26, 1989 in Ranson, WV, he was the son of Samuel Martin Oden, Jr. and Julie Anne Milbourne.

He was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Class of 2007. He was a heavy equipment operator and excavator.

Sammy's personality and smile would light up a room. He loved sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Chicago Bulls fan. He was loved by so many.

He is survived by his mother, Julie Milbourne and husband, Mike, of Charles Town, father, Sam Oden, Jr. and wife Valerie of Kearneysville, two sisters, Jessica and Ashley, two brothers, Ryan and Dylan, paternal grandmother, JoAnn Milbourne, maternal grandmother, Catherine Maynard , and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews  and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samuel Oden Sr. and Mazie Oden,  maternal grandfather, Roy Maynard, his favorite uncle, Timmy Oden and aunt, Kathy Oden Pauley.

Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Whistle D'Angelo officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
