Sandra "Sandi" Snowden Marshall Cerkez, 66, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away December 22, 2025.
Sandi was born January 20, 1959 in Greensboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Marshall, Jr. and Ann Ballance Rau.
She grew up in Northern Virginia and attended St. Michael's Kindergarten, Sherwood Bates Elementary School, Daniels Junior High School and W.T. Woodson High School.
She was an artist, equestrian, musician and entrepreneur. A devoted animal lover, Sandi adored her dogs, cats, and horses throughout her life. She cherished the deer that roamed her yard, and they cherished her in return. They trusted her spirit and kindness and were known to eat directly from her hands.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Cerkez, her children, Annie Daly, Talena Irwin, Kelsey Reese (Jesse), Cazz Cerkez (Sarah) and Casidy Cerkez, her grandchildren, Rowen Reese and Ari Cerkez, her brother, John Marshall and her sister, Victoria Nester. Sandi is also the loving aunt to Chris Marshall, Alexis Marshall, Steven Dick, Kayle English, Hannah English, Vali Godfrey, Jesse Godfrey, Tracy Nester, Lilly Souers, Haley Souers, Kaylie Souers, Bianca King, Jaiden Godfrey, Branden Munda, and Chloe Larson.
A celebration of life will be held on January 20, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., at the Mountain Lake Club, 1329 Lakeside Drive, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
Sandi will be remembered for her creative soul, her gentle connection with animals and the love she shared with her family. She lived with curiosity, compassion, and an independent spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the stories told, the art she created, and the lives of those who loved her.
