Sara Lee Bond passed away after a brief illness, on November 11, 2023, surrounded by her three children, Kimberly Moore Bond, Patrick William Bond and Colleen Frances Michel, as well as her grandchildren, Madison Marie Albrecht and Jacob Clarke Brendel.  Her first great granddaughter, Charlotte Jordan Brendel, was born February 2024.

Her devoted and loving husband, Carroll Eugene Bond, passed away April 13, 2023, who left behind his first daughter, Katie Bond Figgers.

Sara Lee worked as a librarian for many years, and passed on her love of reading to her children, as well instilling a high work ethic, which continues today.

In addition, she enjoyed gardening and crafting, which included jewelry making, crocheting and painting.

Carroll and Sara Lee's faith encompassed their many relationships with churches throughout the Jefferson County area.

A memorial service to honor and remember Sara Lee Bond will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home located at 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia 25425
