Sebastian Lastrina, Jr.,"Mike" 74, of Charles Town, WV passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at his residence.
Born January 12, 1949 in Middletown, CT, he was the son of the late Sebastian Lastrina, Sr. and the late June (Atkinson) Lastrina (Freeman). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Albert Freeman.
He was a veteran of the US Army with 24 years of service, retiring as a Master Sergeant.
He later retired from Homeland Security with 20 years of service.
He was a member of Oakland Community Church in Ranson, WV.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Lastrina; two sons, Benjamin Jaeger- Thomas and wife, Katherine Jaeger-Thomas and Jacob Thomas; grandchildren, Hannah and Jack; one sister, Angela Leavitt, nephews, John Leavitt and wife, Cindy, Jeff Leavitt and wife, Gina Leavitt, Richard Leavitt and wife, Emily and Dan (Devon) Leavitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and faithful K-9 companion, Little Gracie.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastors JoAnne Alexander and Kent Tice.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oakland Community Church, Sebastian (Mike) Lastrina-Building Fund, 415 Moonridge Lane, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
