Sheila Maria Moberly of Charles Town, West Virginia, passed away suddenly on June 9, 2026 at her residence.

Born October 28, 1946, in Olney, Maryland, to the late Dorothy Louise Mangum and the late William Leroy Jones Sr. Sheila grew up in Wheaton, Maryland and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1965.

Sheila married Richard Moberly III on July 30, 1966, and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary next month.

She is survived by their children, Richard IV, Lea, and Brian, grandchildren, Ronnie, Britney, Catherine, Chelsea, and Deanna, great-grandchildren, David, Dylan, Derek, Riley, Declynn, and would have welcomed a sixth great-grandchild, baby Hill, due in three weeks.

Sheila was predeceased by brothers, Theodore (Teddy) Mangum Jr., William (Buddy) Jones Jr., step-father, Theodore (Ted) Mangum Sr., and brother-in-law, David Hoskin.

Sheila is also survived by her brother and sisters, Thomas Mangum Sr. (Judy), Barbara Hoskin, Deborah Cliser (James) and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Danny Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
