Susan Lee Newcomer, 76, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away on July 31, 2026, at the Winchester Medical Center, VA.

Born on March 10, 1950, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathleen Watson.

She was a former horse trainer at the Charles Town Racetrack.

She is survived by one daughter, Miriam Boyer and fiancé, Bernard Boswell; one son, John R. Newcomer; four grandchildren, John Alexander Newcomer, Christopher William Newcomer, Aidan Boyer (Phillip Keller), Kathleen Estelle (Sean Allison); one great-grandson, Steel Saint Lee Keller; and several nieces and nephews.

In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Holmes.

A graveside service will be held on August 18, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., at Fairview Lutheran Cemetery, 1723 W. Washington Street, Bolivar, WV 25425.
