Susan "Penny" Penelope Scott, 79, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away January 4, 2025 at Fairfax INOVA.

Born September 23, 1945 in Stanley, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Beall and Ethelene Morris Beall.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Penny was a member of the VFW Post #3522 Ladies Auxiliary and Moose Lodge #948, both of Charles Town, WV.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie McCauley and favorite son-in-law, Chris of Charles Town, two granddaughters, Courtney Viands and Allison McCauley and husband, Slade McDowell, great granddaughter, Charlie Rose Viands and great grandson, Kip Viands, long time companion, Larry Painter, Sr., and niece, Donna Sies and family. She also leaves behind her special close friends, including Angie Pearrell, who was like a daughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, William "Bill" Scott in 2011, two sisters, Nancy Beall and Patricia Humple, one brother, Charles "Sonny" Beall, Jr., niece, Patty Ann and nephews, Danny and Andy.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Mike Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the local food banks.
