Susan Lynne Wilt, 79, went to be with the Lord peacefully on December 3, 2022 at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born February 24, 1943, she was the daughter of Edward and Louise Pine of Charles Town. She was a graduate of Charles Town High School class of 1961 and attended Hagerstown Business College. She married David Cleveland Wilt in Andalusia, Alabama on November 10, 1962. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David Cleveland Wilt of Ranson, son Jeffery David Wilt and wife Andrea of Hagerstown, daughter Laura Wilt Scherer and husband Hans of Bunker Hill, daughter Julie Wilt Goff and husband Chuck of Charles Town, son Andrew Steven Wilt and wife Candace of Charles Town, one brother David Lee Pine and wife Brenda of Fairfield, PA, sister Marsha Pine Oot and husband Ed of Greenbrier, TN, eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker for years before beginning work at C/R TV Cable in Ranson. She was also a greeter at the Charles Town Visitor Center, a tax assessor for Jefferson County, and a fulfillment manager at AB&C Group Incorporated.
Sue Lynne enjoyed gardening, reading, and collecting seashells at the beach. She was also an avid doll collector and loved displaying her collection of Santas at Christmas.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 7th at Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 W North Street, Charles Town, WV where she was a member for 63 years, with Pastor Duane Jenson officiating. Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town.
Family and friends will be received at 9:30 AM before funeral services at Asbury United Methodist Church followed by a light lunch in the church's Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
