Suzanne Margaret
Bready
April 16, 1953 – June 7, 2023
Suzanne Margaret Peloquin Bready, age 70 of Ocean View, DE, formerly of Montgomery Village, MD passed away June 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Suzanne passed from complications of Parkinson's Disease and Dementia.
The eldest of 6 children, Suzanne was born April 161953 to Robert and Margaret Peloquin at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. She spent her formative years on Oliver Street in N.W. Washington DC. Suzanne attended Blessed Sacrament School followed by the all-girls Immaculata Preparatory school in Washington, D.C. where she was a 1971 graduate.
Her higher education accomplishments included Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I, Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA and The University of Maryland, with a BS in education. She went on to further her education with a master's degree.
Suzanne worked with Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland her entire teaching career where she was a mentor to countless new and seasoned teachers. She was an advocate for every single child who walked through her classroom doors. She was often sought out by parents who were in need of aid at home to help their children succeed. She provided a safe space for students and other teachers alike. She loved nothing more than being called "Mrs. Bready" and her students were part of the "Bready Bunch" which made them feel like her family. Suzanne had a wonderful sense of humor which she was remembered fondly for from her students and colleagues alike.
Suzanne was an avid reader, had a love for all kinds of music, and summering in Westport, Massachusetts at her beloved Baker's Beach Club. Being a beach girl through and through, she was usually the first family on the beach for the day; she loved nothing more than a book, sun, sand, and some Bain de Soleil orange tanning oil. Her only requirement being the ever present New England Lobstah roll - she was in her element near the ocean. She spent her last decades enjoying life at the beach in Ocean View, Delaware with her husband, Michael Bready.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Peggy Peloquin and her brother Mark Peloquin. She is the beloved wife of Michael Bready of Charles Town, WV; mother of 4 children; Shawn Wise and her husband, Trevor, (Garrett and Dolan) of Severna Park, MD, Molly Urban and her husband Scott, (Mackenzie, Bready, Cooper, and Griffin) of Salisbury, MD, Michael Bready, Jr and his wife Camilla (expecting Isabella) of Colesville, MD, Caitlin Jones and her husband, Alan (Jack and Emma) of Harpers Ferry, WV. She was affectionately known as "Mimi" to her grandchildren whom she enjoyed immensely. Suzanne left behind her siblings, Bob Peloquin Jr and his wife Mary (Clint, Katherine, Carly, Cammy) of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Charles Peloquin and his wife Angie (Danny, Jeremy, Elizabeth) of Waynesboro, PA, John Peloquin of FL, Christine Lightfoot and her husband Rich (Meaghan and Riley) of Potomac, MD . Suzanne cherished her many friendships who were like family to her, including her longest and dear friend Judy (Body) Callahan of Easton, MD, Mary Sue Preissner of Columbia, MD, and Lynn Harrison of Rockville, MD.
