Sylvia June "June Bug" Adams, 91, of Rippon, WV died February 15, 2026, at Celebration Villa, Martinsburg, WV.

Born November 15,1934, Clearbrook, VA, and daughter of late Grover D. Orndoff and Bessie (Dyke).  She was one of nine children.

She grew up in Frederick & Clarke County, VA.  Married in Berryville, VA on May 2,1954 to Franklin "Woody" Adams, Sr, Navy veteran, and moved to farm in Rippon, WV.  She was member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church, quilting groups, and loved 4-H and crafting.

She is survived by sons, Franklin W. Adams, Jr (Linda), Charles Town, WV, David E. Adams (Ellen), Winchester, VA; daughter, Deborah L. Salkeld (Tom), Staunton, VA; grandchildren, Thomas L. Salkeld (Bobbi), Arvada, CO, Julie M. Paden (Nick), Morgantown, WV, Chris N. Adams & Natalie N. Stanley (Blake), Newport News, VA, Connell S. Adams & Rory K. Adams, Winchester, VA, Tess M. Adams, South Korea; great grandchildren, Makayla & Thomas Salkeld, June & Amelia Paden, Riley Stanley; brother, Grover Orndoff, Jr (June), sister-in-law, Joline Orndoff, and many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Franklin W. Adams, Sr; brothers, Leonard Orndoff, Edwin Orndoff (Betty), Charles Orndoff, Sr; sisters, Freda Smallwood (Wayne), Ester "Polly" Gentry (William), Mary Lou Jobe (Fred), Wilda Furr; niece, Brenda Smallwood Dailey; nephews, Robert Milbourne, Jr, David Jobe.

June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was proud to be a farmer's wife. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, going to the Jefferson County Fair, meeting new people, and travelled with Woody to Hawaii, Europe, and RV to Alaska.  Leader of Rippon Go-Getters 4-H Club, co-leader of Jefferson Co. 4-H Heritage Dance Team, counselor at Camp Frame 4-H camps, 1991-4-H Family of the Year, and WV 4-H All Star.  Many years sold burlap flowers at Mountain Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival and opened The Gunny Sack fabric store/quilt hospital in Rippon.  She was on The Price is Right in the 60's and won prizes. In 1980, her cross-stitch sampler, "Milk Drinkers Make Better Lovers" was purchased and donated to folk art collection at Birmingham Museum of Art.

A memorial service will be held on February 27, 2026,at 11:00 A.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
