Thomas "Tommy" M. Johnson, 80, of Charles Town, WV passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at his daughter's residence. Born March 19, 1942 in Rippon, WV, he was the son of the late Jesse Willard Johnson and Ethel Jean Johnson Morris.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Michelle and husband, Michael Shuff of Charles Town, WV; his son, Eric and wife, Carolyn Johnson of Jefferson, MD and his son, Kenzie and wife, Cindy Johnson of Harpers Ferry, WV. Tommy leaves behind six grandchildren and one great grandchild, Laurel and husband, Harland, Harper Renée Jimenez of Martinsburg, Jacob Shuff of Pittsburgh, PA, Brenden and Rylie Johnson of Jefferson, MD, Zoey and Mila Johnson of Harpers Ferry. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his six brothers, Donald, Gene, Jimmy, Chuck, Lou and David.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Tommy worked at Shenandoah Downs and Charles Town Race Track from 1959 until 2005. He loved to dance and play cards. He enjoyed sending celebratory cards and giving gifts. He has many special friends and very close confidants. He was a joy to be around and never met a stranger.

He was a loyal member of the Charles Town Moose #948 and the VFW #3522 as well as the K.C.R. Barrel Club.

He cherished his time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren, and will remain in the hearts of all who met him.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 14 ^th from 2-4:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Rd., Harpers Ferry, West Virginia 25425.
