Thomas (Tommy) Owen Shoemaker, Sr., 65, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on August 9, 2020.

Tommy was born in Montgomery County, MD, on April 11, 1955.  He was a self-employed recycler for over 35 years.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Tommy is survived by his long time girlfriend Nancy Harrington of Harpers Ferry, WV;  sons Thomas Shoemaker, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Edward Shoemaker and Christine Garland;  two brothers Alan Shoemaker and wife, Donna, James Shoemaker and wife, Janet; grandson Dustin Shoemaker and wife, Whitney, and granddaughter, Leighann Gipe, three great grand children and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Robert Shoemaker, mother, Pleasant Jane (Bladen) Shoemaker and brother, Lewis Robert Shoemaker, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.  Family will receive friends following the service at the American Legion in Charles Town, WV.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle at 330 Hospice Lane Kearneysville, WV  25430.
