Travis William Bond, 44, of Charles Town, WV left this world too soon on March 30, 2024.
Born March 15, 1980 in Winchester, VA, he was the son of the late William Samuel Bond and Elizabeth Diana Bond of Charles Town, WV.
Travis attended the Community College of Baltimore(CCBC) in Catonsville, MD, which started his career as a land surveyor in 2000. He became a certified survey technician in 2002, received the VIKA Spirit Award in 2004, and was board certified and licensed by the Maryland State Board of Professional Land Surveyors in 2015.
Travis was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking, baseball, and football. His other hobbies included pottery making, wood-working and spending special time with his loving family. He adored spending special time with his two sons and coached them in the Summit Point Babe Ruth Baseball League.
He is survived by his loving mother, Diana Bond, maternal grandmother, Doris Mumaw, two sons, Isaac Bond and Owen Bond, three sisters, Tamara Harris (William), Stephanie Sager (Mark) and Kendra Bond, one brother, James Bond (Jill), nephews, Bryce Lushbaugh (Jerrica), Julian Bond, Trenton Day, and Parker Bond, nieces, Taylor Day , Morgan Day, Piper Fisher and Preston Bond, one great nephew, Hunter Lushbaugh, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Bond, maternal grandfather, Norman 'Nonie" Mumaw, paternal grandparents, Wilbur "Flick" Bond and Bettie Bond, uncle, Norman "Jr" Mumaw and cousin, Ryan Mumaw.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall at Camp Hill Wesley United Methodist Church in Harpers Ferry.
