Robert Van Ott,"Van" 73, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born January 14, 1948 in Charles Town, WV he was the son of the late Robert Donald Ott and Yola Virginia Lilla Ott.
Van was a member of The Bridge Community Church.
Van attended Charles Town High School, but was a graduate of Huntington High School, Class of 1966, where he was a kicker for the football team. Van was also a graduate of Southeastern Bible College, Class of 1970, in Lakeland, FL.
Van's life passion was to serve people and love Jesus. As an adult Van enjoyed golf, fishing and tennis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Dr. Beth A. Omundsen- Ott, at home; four daughters, Shannon, Savannah, Gabrielle and Carolyn, one son, Jordan and wife, Lexi, two brothers, Michael Neil Ott and wife, Tina and O. Tyrone Ott and wife, Kim, sister-in-law, Patty Ott, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was "Poppy" to Carolina and MJ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Nelson Ott.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday July 24, 2021 at The Bridge Community Church, 114 S. Fairfax Blvd., Ranson, WV with Pastor Jake Cordell officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. The service will also be live-streamed. at facebook.com/thebridgewv
