Obituary

Virginia "Jenny" Josie Ingram Nash, 77, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her residence.

Born January 23, 1939 in Alpharetta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Ingram and Cora Lee McAfee Ingram.

She was a member of Bolivar United Methodist Church.

Jenny was a member of the Harpers Ferry Woman's Club and Garden Club for 17 years, the Kabletown CEOS for 19 years, Meals on Wheels and the Red Hat Society where she sang with the WV Red Hatalines. She joined the First Water Aerobics and still attended luncheons once a month with the Water Babies. Jenny was a volunteer for East Ridge Mental Health and provided plants and cookies for the day treatment group.

Jenny was an avid gardener and provided flowers for all her organizations to raise money. She also won several ribbons at the Jefferson County Fair.

She is survived by four sisters, Juanita Cannon of Norcross, GA; Cora Bell Rumberger of Cumming, GA; Carolyn McKenzie and Rebecca Ingram of Suwanee, GA; three brothers, Roy Ernest, Norris Ingram and Kenneth Ingram of Cumming, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bradley and companion of over 20 years, Frederick Mayer.

Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Bolivar United Methodist Church with Rev. John Unger officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Jefferson County Chapter, C/O Patty Ott, 145 Donald Drive, Chapter Town, WV 25414.
