William Kerfoot "Kirk" Myers, Jr., 80, of Shenandoah Junction, WV passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at his home.

Born October 31, 1942 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late William Kerfoot Myers, Sr. and Julia Mae Myers.

Kirk served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1961-1971. He played semi-pro baseball for a few years for the Yankee farm team as a catcher, instilling his love for the sport and the Yankees in his two sons, one of them whom pitched for the Shepherd University baseball team. Kirk worked in construction management until his retirement in 2014.

Kirk lived in a house he built himself in 1974, and took great pride in improving his house and property for the rest of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends in the community, and hosted an annual pig roast with his sons each summer for ten years. He loved to visit his sons, Will, and Matt in their new cities, and traveled with them to various destinations in the U.S. from Yellowstone Park to the Florida Keys.

He is survived by his two sons, William Kirk Myers and wife Leah, in Seattle, WA, Matthew Drew Myers and Partner, Laura Bradel, in NY; sister-in-law, Suellen Myers; one niece, Sarah Myers; one nephew, Bradford Myers; one sister, Renee; one brother, Denny.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his one brother, Brad Myers.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown, WV.
