Zachary Scott Burgess, 40, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Born October 15, 1981 in Leesburg, Virginia, he was the son of Marsha Reaves Burgess the late Mark Wayne Burgess.

He was of Methodist faith.

He is survived by his mother, Marsha A Burgess of Harpers Ferry; two sisters, Keisha M. Rose and husband, Michael A. of Frederick, Birdie L. Locke and husband Eddie of Ball Grand, GA; fiancé, Heather Ryan; one niece, Stella Rose; one nephew, Leo Rose; three aunts, Nina DeLong-Rivas, Connie Graham and Patt Barrack; one uncle, Leslie Reaves and numerous cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one uncle, George Reaves.

Zachary was an avid outdoorsman and loved people. He was very generous with his time and deeds.

Services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 1:30pm at Eackles-Spencers & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Father Stephen Stahley officiating.
