Peggy Marie Weaver, 74, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born April 15, 1941 in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jack Anderson and Agnes Boyd Anderson.
She was of the Christian faith.
Peggy worked at Badger Powhatan in Ranson for over 20 years.
She was a woman of faith, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She would often lend a listening ear, a hand of comfort, share a laugh or a memory of days gone by. She was the preserver of past memories sharing early family ties and her heritage. She was proud to tell you that she was of Cherokee descent and was an avid Washington Redskin fan.
Peggy's family was her world. She had invaluable impact on her grandchildren offering them encouragement and cheering them all the way to fulfill their dreams. She filled them with love, affection and understanding and amazed them with her strength.
We must remember she did not lose her battle, she won. She went home! God took her by the hand and gave her his gift of Everlasting Life.
She is survived by one daughter, Kim Mumaw and husband, Jeff of Harpers Ferry, WV; three sons, Troy Weaver of Gerarrdstown, WV; Kevin Weaver and wife, Pam of Summit Point and Eric Turner of Ranson; three sisters, Madeline Chrisman, Barbara Anderson and Dorothy Burris; one brother, James Anderson, who was always there for her, 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Weaver, Brittany Weaver, Katelyn Weaver, Leigha Weaver, Danica Weaver, John Campbell, Seth Campbell, Jade Weaver, Hunter Weaver, Bailey Epling,( a special light to her life) and Ashlyn Turner, five great-grandchildren,Kayden Weaver, Kendall Weaver, Brooklyn Humphrey, Brayden Campbell and Danica Campbell, daughter-in-law, Samantha Epling and dear friend in her faith, Geri Scott.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald William Weaver in 1970, one sister, Kathleen Mills and one brother, Junior Anderson.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry/Charles Town, WV, with visitation one hour before the service.
