Morris Tarman, Jr.'s Obituary
Morris Tarman, Jr., 73, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born August 17, 1934 in Alexandria, VA and was the son of the late Morris Tarman, Sr. and Josephine Carter Tarman.
He was a retired painter.
He was a member of the Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.
He is survived by six daughters, Wanda Hardy, Alicia Fogle, Carol Barbour all of Harpers Ferry, Barbara Edwards of Middleway, WV, Donna Lilly of Buena Vista, VA, and Margaret Setzer of Richmond, VA; two sons, Phillip Fogle of Harpers Ferry, and Morris "Dickie" Tarman of Kearneysville, WV; two sisters, Mary Kirby of Martinsburg, WV, and Becky Farmer of Tennessee; two brothers, Cecil Tarman and Tony Tarman both of Alexandria, VA.; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Mary Dillow Tarman; one sister and one brother.
Services will be on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donnie Jane Cardwell officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 at Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, WV on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM.
