Alice Jane Engle, 72, of Berryville, VA passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, VA.

Born June 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Alvey Wesley Plotner and Ruth Myrtle Brown Plotner.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Alice loved her family and greatly enjoyed her days at the Senior Center in Berryville.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruth White and husband, Randy of Leesburg, VA; Ruby Harley and Mike Gunnoe of Inwood, WV and Judy Engle of Ranson, WV; four sons, Richie Engle and Belinda  of Bakerton, WV; Bucky Engle of Halltown, WV; Kenny Engle and Becky Britner  of Berryville, and Dwayne Engle and Jessie of Winchester, VA; two sisters, Margaret Viands and husband, Richard; Ruby Gaither and husband, Robert of Martinsburg, WV; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Richard Engle, Sr."Dick" in 2015; two sisters, Mary Kesecker and Rebecca Longerbeam and two brothers, Alvey Plotner, Jr. and Kenneth Plotner.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Bucky Chapman officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
