Patricia Ann Jackson , 84, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away peacefully surrounded with love at the place of her birth and childhood home on December 6, 2020.
Born November 17, 1936, she was the youngest child of the late Leslie Calvin Dennis and Elmira Cole Dennis.
She attended Grand View Elementary School in Harpers Ferry, WV and Page Jackson in Charles Town, WV. She was an avid reader, an excellent communicator, and humorist. She found her greatest joy in her children and spending time with her family.
She was employed in Home Healthcare from the early 70's until she retired in 1993 to care for her mother.
She was a great and inspirational woman of faith, a loyal friend and a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She leaves to cherish her memory; her sister, Mary Catherine Burnett, one son, Kevin Dotson (Candy) of WV; seven daughters, Donna Malone (Tom), Bonnie Twyman (Robert), Tracy Jackson, Maria Arcuri, Vivian Slaughter (Kelvin) of MD, Darhyl Allen of WV, and Leah Jackson of GA; nine grandchildren, Kisha Ross, Aaron Allen, Paris Twyman, Amanda Twyman, Tyler Beckwith, Philip Beckwith, Jalisa Wright of MD, Taylor Jackson Hayes of GA, and Darnell Allen of WV; 14 greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leslie "Sonny" Dennis, Jr.; sisters Rita Wilson, Carol Fleming, and Dorothy Certaine; and her life partner for 26 years, Millard Dotson.
A private gathering of family was held on Friday, December 11, 2020, 12:00 PM, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. The family will honor her in a Celebration of Life and spread her ashes in the Potomac River in the Spring of 2021.
