Peggy Jean Rinaldi Smallwood, 82, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born June 20, 1937 in Millville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Enrico Rinaldi and Mable Irene Longerbeam Rinaldi.
She was of the Christian faith and attended Bolivar Pentecostal Church.
Peggy graduated from Harpers Ferry High School and was retired from Harpers Ferry National Park Service.
Peggy is survived by her son, Willis N. Smallwood, II and his wife, Karen of Martinsburg, WV. She is also survived by her sisters, Edith Sampson of Martinsburg and Patricia Crim of Charles Town: brothers, Charles Rinaldi of Lake Worth, Florida and Joseph Rinaldi of Palm Bay, Florida; a granddaughter, Marjorie Stotler and husband, Matt; as well as her great grandchildren Braeden Stotler, Karley Deeb, Mitchell Stotler, and MacKenzie McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Willis N Smallwood, Sr. three sisters, Jeanette Duncan, Phyllis D'Angelo and Sherry Dugan, three brothers, Robert , Donald and Henry Rinaldi and one grandson, Nathaniel Smallwood.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019 At Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. B. G. Turner and Rev. Dan Hesse officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
